Heathrow Terminal 5 station serves Terminal 5 of Heathrow Airport, the purpose-built home of British Airways and a number of Iberia and Vueling services. The station is located directly beneath the T5 building, offering seamless step-free access from the platform directly into the terminal check-in area without setting foot outside.
Opened in 2008 alongside the terminal itself, the station is served by both the Piccadilly line — which terminates here at the western end of its branch — and the Elizabeth line, which connects T5 to central London and beyond with fast, frequent services. The Elizabeth line branch from T5 runs via Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 before heading through the central section to Paddington, Liverpool Street, and destinations across east London and Essex.
Terminal 5 is the largest free-standing structure in the United Kingdom. Beyond British Airways departures, it contains extensive retail, dining, lounges, and hotel facilities — making it a destination in itself for many visitors and spotters.
Heathrow Terminal 5 station is fully step-free from street level to all platforms. Both the Piccadilly and Elizabeth line platforms are accessible via lifts from the concourse. The station connects directly to the fully accessible Terminal 5 building.
